Your Complete Driving School course is registered and approved Beginners Driver Education (B.D.E.) program by the Ministry of Transportation (M.T.O.).

 

Training consists of 20 hours of in-class sessions, 10 hours of homework, and 10 hours of in-car lessons. To successfully complete the course students are required to have 100% attendance and they must obtain 80% both in-class tests and in-car evaluation.

 

It is the policy of Complete Driving School that the entire course must be completed within 12 months of the starting date. If a session is missed, please call us to make-up schedules. A FEE WILL BE CHARGED for all class sessions made up after the four (4) month period. Bring your own copy of “The Official M.T.O. Driver’s Handbook” to class.

 

ln-car training must begin no later than 5 weeks from the final in-class session. Our driving instructors will contact the student within 15 working days from the final in-class session. If an in-car lesson is to be canceled, we require a 24-hour notice. For each missed appointment or late cancellation, a fee of $35 for a 60 min lesson and $60 for a 120 min lesson will be charged. The first missed appointment is forgiven.

 

Complete Driving School offers pick-up and drop-off service for in-car lessons within Waterloo/Kitchener areas. For areas outside of this area, there is an extra charge will be applied. (depending on a student's place of living).

 

Within 10 working days after completion of the whole course, students will be certified on-line with the M.T.O. This certification allows for an early (4 months sooner) road test booking. Once certified, students may apply for a hard copy of their Driver Licence History (D.L.H.) at any Service Ontario office for a fee payable to M.T.O. Complete Driving School does not provide the certificates (D.L.H.)

 

The Complete Driving School course fee is $570 plus the H.S.T. and the MTO registration fee ($15).  

 

You may pay it all or use our payment plan. The first payment of $400 is due at the start of the course. The balance is due at the time of the first road lesson. Failure to make a payment, no further road lessons will be scheduled. Payment may be made in Cash, Money Orders, Certified or Personal Cheques. Please note that personal cheques are accepted only for the first payment. N.S.F. cheques are subject to a $50 administration fee.

 

There are four options to book a road test; ask the instructor; go to www.drivetest.ca; call 1-888-570-6110 or visit a DriveTest center in person.

 

The course fee does not cover the instructor's car rental for the road test. The fee of $150 is payable directly to the driving instructor on the day of the test. There is a 40-minute warm-up lesson prior to it. The above prices are quoted for the test at the Kitchener DriveTest location. Renting of instructor’s car is optional.
